The Structural Chemistry programme consists of research activities with a common basis in fundamental structural chemistry and has a long tradition in energy related materials and in chemical bonding and molecular condensed matter. Structural and dynamical properties and mechanisms at an atomic and molecular level are central in our projects, which are of both fundamental and applied character. We use both experimental and theoretical approaches in our activities, which mainly are: Lithium-ion battery research, catalytically active surfaces, and ionic solutions. Our activities are organized in The Battery Group and The Theoretical Inorganic Chemistry Group.
